Hidden away within a magical valley in the Dartmoor countryside, Great Sloncombe Farm is rural but not remote. We are only 5 miles from the A30, 1.5 miles from the small town of Moretonhampstead and 3 miles from Chagford. We are also only a 5 minute drive from the open moor. This traditional working farm provides a high standard of Bed &Breakfast accommodation, in 3 en-suite bedrooms with a friendly and informal atmosphere.

The farmhouse Bed and breakfast is a listed granite and cob longhouse with another wing added on. The house is of 13th century origins but the settlement is of a much earlier date. The house has many ecclesiastical features which suggests it might have had some links with the church at some point & the hallway contains a superb example of an oak screen which dates form the 16th century. There is an interesting granite mullioned window with the initials ‘T H' for Thomas Hamlyn– a previous inhabitant & at the rear of the farmhouse a fine example of a large cobbled courtyard.
